Hello, my name is Angus and I’m your local piano, guitar and bass expert. I have loved music and playing instruments since I was a young child and have been learning and growing as a musician and teacher ever since.
In 2012 I completed a music degree at Melbourne Polytechnic and in 2014 I completed a Graduate Diploma of Education specialising in music education.
Ever since then I have been composing, playing, and performing music professionally in Melbourne and have been working as a high school music and instrumental teacher. I currently work at Gleneagles and Lyndale Secondary teaching piano, guitar & bass.
Melodify Music School, my home tutoring music school in Croydon is my pride and joy and I greatly enjoy helping my students reach their goals and potential and overall have a great experience with learning music. I have taught all ages and levels from 5 years of age to 70 plus. It’s never too late to start learning!

FAQ
When do lessons run?
✓ Lessons run after school hours from 3pm to 9pm Monday to Friday. As well as 10:30am to 1pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
✖ Lessons do not run during the school holiday periods.
✓ Lessons usually run on a weekly basis with most students. But can also run on a fortnightly basis as long as you are okay with later times in the evening such as 7:30pm or later.

You can decide whether to enrol into ongoing lessons. Contact Angus to book a suitable weekly time.
What if I'm sick or on holidays and can't make a lesson?
MISSED LESSON POLICY
Our missed lesson policy is that if you contact timetable manager Angus before 11am on the day of your lesson, then we are able to roll your lesson over to the following term (you haven't lost the lesson you paid for). Preferably you let Angus know well in advance, perhaps the prior week, or even the night before. This gives us time to let the teacher know you won't be there and we can adjust their timetable so they aren't sitting around waiting during their scheduled hours.
In the circumstance that you let us know after 11am on the day of your lesson that you can't make it OR you are a no show to your lesson then our policy is that we cannot reimburse you for the lesson or roll it over to the following term.

✓ When you recieve lessons from Angus you also get access to his custom made tutorial videos that he will suplement your teaching with as you learn. These vidoes are maticulously created using over a decade of music and teaching knowledge.
✓ Angus's lesson studio doubles as a recording studio. Often advanced students request to learn about the world of music production.
✓ If students have completed a piece of music that they’re particularly proud of we are able to record their piece with professional recording equipment, including video if the student wishes. Also at the end of each Semester of learning Angus encourages students to record one of their pieces at the studio. It is a great learning experience every time, a great practice motivater when the session is coming up on the horizon, and it's something you can show off and wow grandma or your besty with!
Lessons are not paid for one by one, they are paid for in a block:
Lesson are paid for in blocks of 10 or 20 lessons. Depending on what the student is most comfortable with.
